Which system to install? Which Windows to choose?
Good day. Today I want to talk with you about which system is better to install on your computer. I must say right away that the article will be focused on Windows, since it is better for an ordinary “ordinary” user to use it. It, unlike systems such as Linux and the like, is much more understandable and understanding it will be much easier.
So my answer to the question which system to install on your computer sounds exactly like this: Windows. Choose and install Windows for yourself. But of course the article is not finished on this, but is just beginning, because you still need to decide which version of Windows to choose.
We will not disassemble old Microsoft products, such as Windows 98 or Windows 2000. I don’t think anyone will want to install them, these are the systems of the last century. Today, the most used systems are Windows 7, 8, XP, and Vista. We’ll talk about them, I hope my descriptions and recommendations will help you, and as a result, it will be much easier to decide which Windows to choose for your computer or laptop.
Let’s start with XP and end with G8.
Windows XP was released in 2001. And from 2003 to 2011 it was the most popular in the world. Its maximum market share was about 76 percent, this was achieved in January 2007. From here, we can immediately conclude that the system is good.
I used Windows XP for about two years, and I can tell you that, despite the fact that it was released a long time ago, today it still copes with everyday tasks. But it is worth remembering that new programs and games that are coming out are not the fact that they will work on XP. Application developers are increasingly focusing on Windows 7 and above.
I would not recommend installing Windows XP unnecessarily. There are, of course, exceptions, for example, it’s good to put this system on older computers, since XP’s system requirements are not large. But there are already very few people with old PCs, so the described system disappears.
The operating system Windows Vista appeared on the market in 2007, but did not meet the expectations of users. It did not become very popular and its maximum market share was approximately 18 percent in October 2009.
In my opinion, the only thing that is better than the old and good Windows XP is its design, various interesting effects and the like, and to everyone else it is only worse. Although I did not use Vista and may be wrong. But the fact that on Windows Vista a lot of different software does not work is true. I read it on the Internet and therefore immediately moved to XP with XP. I’ll tell you about her now.
The Windows 7 operating system is the most popular version of Microsoft today. It was released in 2009, and this time it met our expectations. Although many call the “Seven” a revision of Vista. I agree, the systems are very similar. But I can tell you that Windows 7 is a really great system. It is much more stable, it does not need to be reinstalled as often as it was with XP. It also works much faster.
When I used Windows XP and decided to try Seven, I honestly was surprised. Programs run much faster, hang up less often, but even if this happens, the hung-up program can be disabled through the Task Manager program, and this feature did not always work in XP. It happened that on XP everything hangs so badly that only the “Reset” button on the system unit helped.
The Windows 8 operating system is the latest version of the line. What can I say about her after a couple of months of use? This is a modified “Seven”. In Windows 8 came to a flat design, removed the shadows and volume. In general, everything is trending. It works even faster. The fact that there is no Start button in it is actually nonsense. This is not worse, you get used to it very quickly. A little later, an update will be released, where the Start button, as I understand it, will be returned.
The new Metro interface in Windows is cool, you can’t say anything. But that he somehow greatly simplified the work of the PC, I did not notice. The only thing I liked about Windows 8 was its even faster performance!
Which Windows to choose? The answer is now yours. I described four versions of Windows to you, I think now, it will be easier for you to decide. And as for the recommendations, then I would not recommend installing Windows XP or Vista. Better pay attention to the latest operating systems Windows 8 and Windows 7.
Install Windows 7, work in it, after a while go to the G8, and it seems to me that you will very soon realize that you prefer it.
That concludes my article. I hope now the questions of which system to install and which Windows to choose are not very complicated for you and you have already decided what to choose.
