Steps to build the perfect computer
Assembling an ideal computer is not creating something impossible, but just assembling a computer for yourself. For example, when working with someone else’s computer, we are annoyed by many factors in it, and in working with the computer we actually do, we feel more comfortable. The reason for this is simple and clear to everyone. And if you really want to make the perfect assembly of your computer, then take your time with this matter and first determine some of the mandatory criteria for a new machine.
So what are these criteria?
Firstly, the purpose of the computer. That is why for the first time you decided to assemble the PC. Typically, computers are divided by purpose into work and gaming. As a rule, working machines are weaker. And on a gaming computer you have to fork out.
Secondly, when assembling a computer, it is already necessary to assume which operating system will be delivered. So, for example, Windows 7 requires 1-2 GB of RAM and more than 16 GB of hard disk space. And for Windows XP you only need 64MB of RAM and 2GB of hard disk space.
Feel the difference?
Thirdly, do not forget to calculate all the little things. If the computer will constantly deal with graphics, then install a better graphics card. And if the machine requires high performance, then buy more RAM and a powerful processor for it. There are a lot of such trifles, but try to highlight them. The choice of iron depends on this.
The next step on the way to assembling an ideal computer is to familiarize yourself with modern standards of iron power. It should be borne in mind that every year the old equipment is much cheaper and there is a new, more expensive. Therefore, do not be lazy to go shopping or climb the forums, making a list of the necessary iron. Pay particular attention to the motherboard.
Having familiarized yourself with modern equipment and its cost, it is time to compile a list of necessary components. This list must necessarily include devices of the system unit: the case, the power supply (usually provided with the case), the motherboard, processor, RAM, hard disk, video card, and of course the drive; information input / output devices: monitor, mouse, keyboard. Be sure to check the compatibility of these components. If you have friends who are computer savvy, you can give them a list of them for approval.
The last step in assembling a computer is to purchase devices and the assembly itself. The process is certainly dusty, but very important, because it is the final one.
After the computer is assembled and ready to start, you need to install the software. Check the specifications of your computer and select the operating system according to them. At the moment, the recommended OC is Windows 7. Do not focus on Windows XP. The fact is that the century of this operating system has been lived, for the new generation of computers, the already named Windows 7 is more suitable.
Once the OC has worked, you need to make sure that it is working. A small but pleasant little thing will help you with this. Open the “Start” menu and right-click on “My Computer” in the window that appears, click on “display on desktop”. This shortcut will provide you quick access to the hard drive. Back to the desktop. Right-click on the “My Computer” shortcut, select “Properties” and in the window that appears open Device Manager. In this application, check if all drivers are installed. If something does not work, then try reinstalling the necessary driver from the disk that came with the device.
The computer is now ready to install other software. First of all, such programs as Microsoft Office, WinRAR, Dr Web or Kaspersky antivirus software are installed on the “fresh Windows”. All these programs are of course paid, and if there is no way to buy them, then you can put their analogues: OpenOffice, 7Zip, Avira Free Antivirus. These programs are inferior in features, but they are free.
